Benefits
With a Private Pilot's License:
- You can act as Pilot In Command of an aircraft while carrying passengers.
- You may act as PIC of a charitable, non-profit, or community event flight.
- You may demonstrate an aircraft in flight to a prospective buyer if the pilot demonstrating has 200 hours of flight time and is an aircraft salesman.

Requirements
You Must:
- You must read, speak, write, and understand English.
- Be at least 17 years old (you can start training earlier, but you must be at least 16 years old to fly solo) (without an instructor).
- Pass a simple medical exam (3rd Class) with an FAA Designated Aviation Medical Examiner; to find the Aviation Medical Examiners in your area go here.
- Pass a test on aeronautical knowledge.
- Complete the required flight training for the course (more details).
- Pass a practical test with a Pilot Examiner by Meeting or exceeding the criteria in the FAA Private Pilot Airman Certification Standards.

- The above minimums are FAA minimums. On a national average students take 50-60 hours to complete the Private Pilot Course.
- We will help students get in touch with examiners but knowledge test and DPE fees vary so they are the student's responsibility.
- Students are responsible for purchasing renters insurance.
- Pricing is subject to change.
- Online based ground school is used to cover the theory/knowledge portion as well as the knowledge test. If a one on one ground school is needed, the additonal cost of $60/hour will be charged to the student.
